SAK YANT TATTOO

Traditional Thai sacred tattoos, their meanings explained before the needle touches skin. We walk you through each yant, its blessing and its placement, so you leave with a piece you understand as well as wear.

RECENT WORK

All photos are real, healed client work from our Kata Beach and Bang Tao studios — tap any piece to view it full size.

IS SAK YANT RIGHT FOR YOU?

Sak Yant suits travellers who want a tattoo with meaning rooted in Thai culture rather than pure decoration. The most requested designs — Hah Taew (five lines), Gao Yord (nine peaks) and the tiger yant — each carry a specific traditional blessing.

We also cover this style in our tattoo guide and answer the most common questions below.

SAK YANT TATTOO — COMMON QUESTIONS
DO I NEED TO BE BUDDHIST TO GET A SAK YANT TATTOO?

No. Visitors of every background receive Sak Yant respectfully. What matters is understanding what the design means and treating it with the respect it carries — which is exactly what we explain before any work begins.

WHICH SAK YANT DESIGN SHOULD I CHOOSE?

It depends on the blessing you are drawn to: Hah Taew for general protection and fortune, Gao Yord for authority and safety, tiger yants for strength. Our traditional artist will walk you through the meanings and help you choose.

ARE THERE RULES AFTER GETTING A TATTOO?

Traditionally each yant carries guidelines for conduct. We explain them honestly during your consultation so you can decide with full context rather than discovering them afterwards.

DOES A SAK YANT BAMBOO TATTOO REQUIRE AFTERCARE?

A Sak Yant bamboo tattoo requires minimal aftercare. Simply keep the area clean, avoid scratching or picking it, and stay out of pools, the sea, and direct sunlight until the skin has healed.

WHAT LANGUAGES DO YOU SPEAK?

English, Thai, French, Italian and Spanish.
