Larger pieces are planned across multiple sessions, allowing the skin to heal properly and the details to stay sharp. [START YOUR CUSTOM TATTOO](https://wa.me/66964822054) [BOOK A FREE CONSULTATION](https://fametattookata.com/contactus) ##### SESSION TIME A palm-sized realistic piece takes two to four hours; a full sleeve is planned across several sessions of four to six hours. Send your reference photos on WhatsApp before you fly and we will have the design ready when you land. ##### HEALING Heavily shaded work weeps more in the first days and can look cloudy while it settles — this is normal. Expect two to three weeks of surface healing, with the true depth of the blacks visible after about a month. ##### STARTING PRICE Every tattoo is different, so we price each piece individually based on its design and size. Share your idea with us, and we’ll give you a clear quote before your session. ## RECENT WORK All photos are real, healed client work from our Kata Beach and Bang Tao studios — tap any piece to view it full size. ![realism tattoo, full back by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/181.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=181.webp) ![realism tattoo, full arm by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/227.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=227.webp) ![realism tattoo, leg by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/163.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=163.webp) ![realism tattoo, full arm by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/146.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=146.webp) ![realism tattoo, forearm by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/130.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=130.webp) ![realism tattoo, forearm fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/134.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=134.webp) ![realism tattoo, forearm fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/156.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=156.webp) ![realism tattoo, forearm by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/225.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=225.webp) ![realism tattoo, leg tattoo by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/107.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=107.webp) ![realism tattoo, forearm by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/174.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=174.webp) ![realism tattoo, back tattoo by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/182.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=182.webp) ![realism tattoo, leg tattoo by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/175.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=175.webp) ![realism tattoo, leg tattoo by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/154.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=154.webp) ![realism tattoo, leg tattoo by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/180.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=180.webp) ![realism tattoo, woman arm tattoo by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/229.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=229.webp) ![realism tattoo, leg tattoo by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/228.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=228.webp) ![realism tattoo, full arm tattoo by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/218.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=218.webp) ![realism tattoo, leg tattoo by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/128.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=128.webp) ![realism tattoo, full arm tattoo by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/96.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=96.webp) ![realism tattoo, leg tattoo by fame tattoo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Realism/92.webp?width=1080&height=1350&name=92.webp) ### IS REALISM RIGHT FOR YOU? Realism suits anyone carrying a reference that matters — a portrait of family, a pet, a hero, or a photograph from your travels. Black-and-grey ages gracefully and reads clearly even as it settles over the years. We also cover this style in our tattoo guide and answer the most common questions below. #### BOTH STUDIOS OFFER THIS STYLE - [Kata Beach studio](https://fametattookata.com/locations/kata-beach) — walk-ins from 11:00, open until 22:00 daily. - [Bang Tao Beach studio](https://fametattookata.com/locations/bangtao-beach) — quiet studio on Soi Ao Bang Thao 4, open 11:00–22:00 daily. Not sure which studio suits your trip? Send us your hotel area on WhatsApp, and we'll point you to the nearest one. ##### REALISM TATTOO**— COMMON QUESTIONS** HOW MANY SESSIONS DOES A REALISM SLEEVE TAKE? Typically, two to three sessions are needed, depending on the coverage and level of detail. If you’re visiting Phuket for one or two weeks, we can schedule one or two sessions during your trip and complete the rest on your next visit—or create a smaller, self-contained piece instead. WHAT MAKES A GOOD REFERENCE PHOTO FOR A PORTRAIT TATTOO? Choose images with sharp focus, good contrast, and natural light. Send two or three options via WhatsApp, and our realism artist will honestly tell you which one will translate best into a tattoo. WILL A BLACK-AND-GREY TATTOO FADE IN THE TROPICAL SUN? All tattoos fade with sun exposure—especially in tropical climates. We use slightly stronger contrast for clients who live in sunny places, and applying SPF after the tattoo has healed helps keep it sharp for years.   ###### EXPLORE OTHER STYLES [SAK YANT](https://fametattookata.com/portfolio/sak-yant-tattoo-phuket) [FINE LINE](https://fametattookata.com/portfolio/fine-line-tattoo-phuket) [COVER-UP](https://fametattookata.com/portfolio/cover-up-tattoo-phuket) [JAPANESE](https://fametattookata.com/portfolio/japanese-tattoo-phuket) [MANDALA & GEOMETRIC](https://fametattookata.com/portfolio/mandala-geometric-tattoo-phuket) [![fametattoologo](https://fametattookata.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Fame%20Logoo-1.webp?width=100&height=24&name=Fame%20Logoo-1.webp "fametattoologo")](https://fametattookata.com) Have a tattoo idea in mind?
